Letting go.
There will always be more that is wanted. There will always be a problem or a challenge or a working out in your life which you're wishing to move through, understand more about; create a chewing on.
And this more and this experience of creation from the heart centre, this being who you are, this being all that you've come here to be is experienced through the heart centre. And letting go makes being there so much easier.
Letting go of the tension in your body sounds like a simple and simultaneously monumental task.
Letting go a little.
Letting go with each breath.
Letting go of the posture that you hold.
Letting go of stress.
Ros noticed just recently that when she sat to eat her meals, she was holding. She was stressed. Her body was rushing, panicking; fast. It was surprising to her, as eating is such a daily event.
Multiple times a day food os eaten and yet as she experimented with just sitting and eating, not reading or catching up, just eating, she became aware of tightness in her shoulders, in her jaw, in fast speed.
Hurry, rush, doing. And this was surprising to her.
Ros, since being in Asia for so very long, has taken to eating her meals with chopsticks. Chopsticks slow down, at least for Ros, the eating process.
Calming, smaller amounts of food and yet still the tightness, the stress, the panic, the hyper state was felt.
And so she began to notice and let go, let go of the tension, the tightness that was not as a result of external factors, that was ingrained, that related to eating it quick before someone takes it from you, eating it quick before anyone notices, eating it quick to continue to work.
So letting go for Ros was slowing, was taking time, was sitting with the discomfort of wanting to rush to the next thing and simply being.
And so practically, I invite you to notice the daily activities where you are holding.
Are you holding your feet as you shower?
Are you rushing to the next thing?
Are you holding as you sit?
Are you holding as you steel yourself for the next task?
Breathe, soften, let go. One thing at a time, one daily activity at a time.
It's safe to soften and so it is.
